Christmas Card with Elemental Paper

Howdy!  Did you miss me?  I missed you!  It has been a bit since my last post but I have been enjoying life.  My son is a Cub Scout and I lead his Den plus my hubby is the Cub Master for the elementary school so it keeps us just a *little* busy!  I have a CTMH gathering and crop tomorrow with one of my dear friends, Kathryn, and I’m sharing the Christmas card that I will be teaching at her party.  We will use heat embossing, ink distressing, and stamping.

Even though it is a Christmas themed card I challenged myself to use “non-Christmasy” paper – hence the Elemental paper pack!  But hey – it has reds and greens in the designer paper so that sounds like Christmas to me!

The card is a standard 4.25″ x 5.5″ and the stamp set used is C1423 Captured Moments.  First, I ink distressed the edges of the paper with Cranberry ink using a sponge dauber.  Then I stamped the image with Versamark ink on the Cranberry cardstock, then sprinkled a White Daisy embossing powder (with fine silver glitter added in) and then heat embossed until shiny.   Here is a closeup of the embossing…

I used my ATG gun to stick all the stuff together.  Finally, i added three mid-size red sparkles from the Red, Pink, and Purple Sparkles Assortment and you have a quick and easy Christmas card.
